Do Good Real Estate Company recently completed its ‘Do Good Intern’ contest search, and has selected University of North Carolina Wilmington students Andrew Livoni, Zoya Zimmerman and Nicholas Krepshaw to lead its new branding campaign.
Ryan Crecelius, Do Good Real Estate owner and broker, partnered with the UNCW Entrepreneurship Center to find its first batch of interns.
Crecelius said his firm — which donates 20 percent of its real estate sale proceeds to area nonprofits — is excited about finding ambitious public relations, marketing and design students who will help the local real estate company develop and execute a “next generation” marketing campaign.
He said the selected interns will work as a team; their team will receive a $1,000 stipend.
Crecelius said the contest was organized through a social media-based website called Wildfire. The Wildfire platform, he said, allowed the contest to be promoted heavily through the Do Good Facebook page.
In addition to devising a marketing plan for the local realty firm, contestants were also asked to submit an essay explaining why they wanted to have an internship with a company that has a social mission. After the submission deadline of February 1, seven finalists were interviewed and the three winners selected.
“By partnering with UNCW, Do Good was able to find ambitious and creative students that not only wanted to gain real world experience, but also wanted to be a part of helping the company spread the word about its positive social mission,” Crecelius said.
