As part of welcoming new freshmen at the University of North Carolina Wilmington this fall, 1,600 community volunteers have agreed to help out.
More than 4,000 new and returning students will be housed on campus this year, the most in the University’s history. With the new 662 bed Seahawk Crossing Suites, 40 percent of UNCW students will be able to live on campus, according to a press release.
The freshmen class tallies about 2,000 students with an average high school GPA of 3.77 and an average SAT of 1168.
