Winter Maintenance For Your Heating System

Sponsored Content provided by Jimmy Williams - Owner, O’Brien Service Company

If you may step outside today, the last thing you may think of is getting winter maintenance for your heating system; in reality, it should be something you get taken care of now. If you were in the Wilmington area last winter, you know you would not have wanted your heating system to stop working in the middle of the bitterly cold weather we had. An easy way to prevent your heating system from having problems is to have a professional perform an annual maintenance inspection. If it has been more than a year since your last inspection, then it is time for another! Experts say it is important to have your system properly checked every year for to maintain top performance and prevent issues.

There are two different ways that O’Brien Service Company can do an annual inspection. The first is to have a seasonal inspection done, in which we will come out and perform a full inspection on just your heating system.  If you choose to have this done, you need to make sure that you also have a seasonal inspection done before using your cooling system.

Another option is to join our Energy Savings Club. Joining the Energy Savings Club offers many benefits, including an annual inspection in which both your cooling and heating systems will be checked and cleaned.  You will also receive discounts, no overtime fees, and top-of-the-list placement for service calls. For more information on our Energy Savings Club, you can click here to read about benefits and prices.

Still not sure if your heating system needs a winter maintenance check? Well, here are a few reasons why you should get one done.  If you want to save money, you can actually lower your energy bills by having your system maintained.  Also, you can help avoid costly repairs by having your system checked annually. Finally, maintenance checks will help extend the life of your system. If you have a newer system and think you don’t need to have it checked, you’re wrong.  You wouldn’t buy a brand new car and never get the oil changed, would you? If you want your system to run at its peak efficiency and have a long lifespan, you need to have it maintained. Or if you have an older system and are trying to extend its lifespan, the best way is to have maintenance performed on it.

Don’t be left in the cold this upcoming winter! Think ahead, and have winter maintenance performed on your heating system before you need it. When the cold weather comes, you can be reassured that you can stay nice and cozy inside your home. Call O’Brien today to join the Energy Savings Club or to have a seasonal inspection done.
