MoorForLess.com
Keith Markfield started Moor For Less as a marketplace that connects boaters and boat slip owners. “We are both the Zillow and the Airbnb of boat slips. We connect boaters needing a place to moor their boat whether it is for an overnight fishing trip or a permanent location at a marina,” he says.
As a software developer by trade, Markfield is constantly connected to a computer, tablet or phone. “Software is ever-changing and requires constant vigilance to keep up with the latest trends. Google is my go-to tool.”
For news, uses Flipboard to aggregate interesting articles from various sources.
Listens to the comedian and actor Michael Ian Black’s How to Be Amazing interviews podcast. “It is great to hear people from all different backgrounds give their perspective on life.”
TV shows skew toward DIY “and will watch How It’s Made [on the Science Channel] in marathon for hours. I’ve also loved The Simpsons since the early days on The Tracey Ullman Show.”
Relies on audiobooks and highly recommends anything by David Sedaris. “An interesting book I recently read is No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels” by Nils Johnson-Shelton and federal agent Jay Dobyns.
Movie recommendation is Idiocracy – “definitely a movie everyone should see.
Go-to apps are LastPass for password storage and generation. “You only need to remember your master password, and it does the rest!”
