As creative director Jeni Moser leads a team of 13 graphic designers at the company’s home office in Wilmington. A national company, N2 produces neighborhood newsletters. Since Moser works partially remotely, she depends on cloud technology.
Reads local publications as well as Dwell and Garden & Gun – “great articles, lush imagery and layouts.”
While online, checks out Elephant Journal, “which focuses on ‘the mindful life;’” Forbes; The Sartorialist, a “blog dedicated to images of people captured candidly on the streets of cities like New York, Paris, Milan, showcasing their fashion forward, edgy styles;” and Contemporist – “full of interesting architecture, design, art, travel.”
A self-described podcast junkie, Moser regularly listens to several including Radiolab, Stuff You Should Know, This American Life, Love + Radio, Design Matters with Debbie Millman, HBR IdeaCast and Serial.
Doesn’t have cable but currently into watching “lots of stand-up comedy on Netflix and a show called Comedy Bang! Bang!, which is a sort of parody of talk shows.”
Book pick is Talk like TED by Carmine Gallo. “Public speaking is important in my position, so I found this to be an extremely beneficial read.”
Favorite work app is Slack. Recently discovered VarageSale. “It’s a local Craigslist-type app where the members are screened/accepted, and you can buy and sell things in a yard sale-type setting, just online.”
