DAVID USHER

President,
CMIT Solutions of Wilmington

As head of a company that provides IT services and support for small- and medium-sized businesses, using technology “and using technology smartly” takes up the majority of David Usher’s day. “My No. 1 productivity enhancer? Get a second monitor,” he advises.

Usher, a self-proclaimed weather junkie, points to Jeff Masters, of Weather Underground, as his favorite blog. “He is conservative in his approach and provides the reasoning behind the forecast.”

On TV, tends to watch The Weather Channel, Discovery Channel and sports channels. “I am getting excited for the Women’s World Cup. The USWNT [U.S. Women’s National Team] is strong this year, and they have so many solid players.”

Just finished reading Breakfast with Buddha by Roland Merullo. “It’s an entertaining, easy read that allows you to think about the balance within your own life.”

Is a fan of the James Bond movies and looking forward to the November release of Spectre.

Favorite apps are Dashlane: “great password manager;” Wifi Analyzer: “Ever wondered about the dead spots in your house or business [or] should you move your wireless router? This simple app will give you the answer;” and Blitzortung Lightning Monitor.
