As the CEO of Wilmington- based EMS LINQ, which provides administrative software to K-12 schools across the U.S., Hooks uses video conferencing technology to facilitate communications.

Hooks relies on Netflix when its time to wind down.

One favorite TV show includes Monster Energy AMA Supercross. “As a former racer, I love keeping up with the sport,” he said.

Other TV shows he enjoys watching include Blacklist and football and college basketball.

Hooks’ recommended books are “The Hard Thing About Hard Things” by Ben Horowitz and a favorite author is Malcolm Gladwell, including his books “Outliers” and “What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures.”
