Wilmington-based R.A. Casper Construction has been tapped to lead the expansion and renovation of the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s on-campus purchasing facility.
The cost of the project totals $210,293, according to a news release.
Robert Casper, president of R.A. Casper Construction, said Thursday the firm could break ground on the project by mid-March.
Plans call for the facility’s footprint to expand by 1,000 square feet, eliminating the need for a modular building that staff members currently use, Casper said. The existing structure would also undergo a complete overhaul that including re-insulation, new ceiling tiles, painting and additional office and conference space.
