University Physicians, a service of SEAHEC (South East Area Health Education Center), hired Linda Wooley to the practice’s endocrinology division. A graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Wooley is a national certified diabetes educator, insulin pump instructor and CGMS Instructor.
Wooley will work closely with fellowship-trained endocrinologist Maya Y. As part of her work as a diabetes educator, Wooley has extensive knowledge about the variety of meters and insulin pumps on the market, the release stated.
“For those diagnosed with diabetes, Linda Wooley is a great resource and tremendous addition to the diabetes care provided by the Endocrinology Division of University Physicians,” said Mark Darrow, president and CEO of SEAHEC, 2221 S. 17th St., said in a statement.
Wooley is a member of the American Association of Diabetic Educators and the American Diabetes Association.
