TCBY set to open next month

Another quick serve frozen yogurt shop is set to make its debut in the Port City next month.

Officials with Indianapolis-based Kite Realty announced Tuesday that Salt Lake City-based TCBY will open in 1,577 square feet of space in the Oleander Point shopping center at the intersection of Oleander Drive and Fordham Road.

The yogurt shop will join Learning Express Toys, which recently relocated to the redeveloped shopping center from Hanover Center. It will also join Whole Foods – the center’s retail anchor, and Chipotle, which released plans last week to build a 2,000 square foot restaurant in the center’s outparcel parking lot.

TCBY, an acronym for The Country’s Best Yogurt, will feature dozens of new flavors and toppings, including Greek frozen yogurt.
