Rocket Pitch set to launch Tuesday

Enthusiastic entrepreneurs will pitch their start-ups to investors and media representatives October 25 at the bi-annual Rocket Pitch sponsored by UNCW’s Entrepreneurship Center.

Each of five business owners will give a fast-paced five-minute presentation during the program, which takes place 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the New Hanover County Executive Development Center. The public is welcome but registration is required.

Since its start in 2009, this popular event has attracted investments totaling $5.2 million in some of the 26 companies that have pitched, including Carolina Electric Boats, Glide Bikes, CorTech Solutions and Custom Fit Meals. The five in the lineup for October 25 represent ventures in online video, real estate software, and alternative energy systems.
