Wilmington-based employment screening firm Castle Branch is moving its headquarters from downtown Wilmington to Military Cutoff. The new headquarters will be at 1845 Sir Tyler Drive, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for April 15.

According to a press release, Castle Branch is the 10th largest privately held employment screening company in the country and employs more than 150 people. The new
facility will allow room for 130 new positions.

The new office will include a larger sales office and enhanced research and call center areas.

“Despite the difficult economic times, Castle Branch continues to find growth,” said Brett Martin, president and founder of Castle Branch, in a press release.

“Our new facility will provide Castle Branch with continued growth and the opportunity to take its place as one of the largest privately held employment screening companies in the country.”

The new 32,000-square-foot building was built by Wrightsville Builders and developed by Tri-Coast Pines, whose members include Jim Wallace, Jon Vincent and Steve Niemeyer. Phil Sharpe of Sharpe Architecture and David Lisle of Lisle Architecture also worked on the project.

Castle Branch was formerly located in the Cotton Exchange
on Front Street in downtown Wilmington.

John Hinnant of Wilmington Downtown Inc. said that the group is working with Wilmington Industrial Development to find a new company for the 18,000 square foot space.
