Hospitality Association Holding Annual Fundraiser

By Sherri Crawford, posted Mar 15, 2019
Wilmington Area Hospitality Association is readying for its annual charity event. WAHA’s Hospitality Olympics is slated for March 24 and will return to Waterline Brewing Co., 721 Surry St.

Teams formed by individuals from area hospitality-related businesses will compete in a variety of events during the fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will benefit students attending hospitality- and tourism-related programs at Cape Fear Community College and at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

WAHA is the area’s only membership organization for the hospitality industry, according to officials. The association serves Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties.

Team registration for the Hospitality Olympics begins at 10 a.m., with games starting at 11 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 4 p.m. For more information, visit wilmingtonaha.com.
