Correction: This version corrects that Carolina Beach Mooring Field's information was added onto an existing app.
The Town of Carolina Beach just upgraded its mooring organization by adding its information to the Dockwa app.
Dockwa, a free smartphone app, connects boaters and marinas with reviews and slip bookings.
With the additiona, Carolina Beach Mooring Field also can now be reserved and booked online.
The app can easily be downloaded from the app store on any computer or mobile device. Once downloaded, it uses the device’s location to immediately direct the user to nearby moorings. The Carolina Beach Mooring Field allows for boaters to select their arrival and departure time along with boat information.
The mooring fee is $20 per night.
Reservations can also be made by contacting Marine Management Support Services at 667-0004.
