Topsail Chamber Director Accepts Tourism Job

By Sherri Parrish Crawford, posted Jul 2, 2015
The executive director of the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism made a move. After nearly two years in the position, Tammy Proctor has taken over as Pender County’s tourism director.

“When I was offered the opportunity to serve as the new Pender County Tourism Director, it was an emotional decision,” Proctor said in a letter to Topsail chamber members. “But it’s an opportunity to impact tourism in the county, including your restaurants, shops, attractions, and motels here along Coastal Pender.”

Former chamber chairman Charles Strickland replaces Proctor, she said.

“He gave me the job and now I am giving it back to him,” Proctor continued in her letter. “He is  pleased with the momentum and growth of the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce &  Tourism. He is committed to keeping the momentum.”
