Smith acknowledged that there is a lot of hotel supply in Wilmington now. But, he said “a hotel that is ready to deliver a superior product, great hospitality and genuine value is going to do well.”
The four story 118-suite hotel at 6732 Swan Mill Road is owned and operated by the Generation Companies of Raleigh. The hotel will feature 56 studio suites, 61 one-bedroom suites and one two-bedroom suite. The director of sales is Jenny Wedemeyer.
Some amenities at the new Homewood Suites features a hospitality center, a full evening meal Monday through Thursday and a putting green and gazebo area.
