PAG Meetings Continue On The Future Of NHRMC

By Staff Reports, posted Jan 3, 2020
The Partnership Advisory Group’s 2020 meeting schedule so far is set through April.

New Hanover County and New Hanover Regional Medical Center officials are exploring future options for the county-owned hospital, including a potential sale, merger or other ownership models as well as keeping things as is.

The Partnership Advisory Group, made up of 21 people selected from hospital trustees, NHRMC medical staff and the community, has been meeting since Oct. 29. The members’ next step is to finalize a request for proposals that interested health systems can respond to in the coming months.

The meetings are open to the public and take place at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. Presentations and minutes are posted online at NHRMCfuture. org, and PAG members can be emailed questions and comments at [email protected].

The group’s upcoming meeting schedule is Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 20, March 5, March 19, April 2 and April 16.

“An additional four to six months of meeting dates may be needed, and will be scheduled as the work of the group continues,” the news release stated.
