WIN Calls For Grant Applications

By Staff Reports, posted Mar 1, 2019
The Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County plans to focus on health and wellness efforts for its grants program this year.

The 130-member collective philanthropy organization intends to make “two large grants of at least $20,000 each and up to three small grants totaling no more than $10,000,” according to a news release.

The group, which formed in 2011, rotates its grants focus each year. Last year was in the area of education, and next year will center on the environment.

New Hanover County nonprofit organizations and agencies can submit a letter of intent to WIN’s grants committee by March 15 to be considered for this year’s funding. After those are reviewed, some of the groups will be invited to submit full applications, due April 22.

“Grant recipients will be notified the third week of May, and the first installment of grant funds presented at WIN’s annual luncheon May 23,” the release stated.

For more information or to request a letter of intent form, email [email protected], with the subject line “WIN Letter of Intent Request.”
