The Wilmington Health Lab at 2421 Silver Stream Lane has met all criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA), a national health care accreditation organization, Wilmington Health recently announced.

Accreditation is given only to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey, according to a Wilmington Health news release.

The lab has maintained accreditation since 2008, which is also when Kathie Heath started managing the lab.
