Three Partnership Advisory Group members -- Cedric Dickerson, Hannah Dawson Gage and physician Michael Papagikos -- joined BizTalk on Wednesday.

All three said they went into the process process of evaluating New Hanover Regional Medical Center's future with skepticism about a potential sale of NHRMC but have since changed their minds.

Last week, the Partnership Advisory Group voiced support for selling the county-owned hospital. During their meeting, members said they didn’t think having the hospital go at it alone stacks up to the proposals being offered by three outside health systems -- Novant Health, Atrium Health and Duke Health. All 21 members of the group also signed a letter detailing their reasons for backing a change.
