NHRMC Breaks Ground On New Medical Facility

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Apr 29, 2014
Plans for a new $15.1 million emergency department near Porters Neck are moving forward.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center broke ground Tuesday on its new 30,000-square-foot standalone emergency center at 151 Scotts Hill Medical Drive, next to NHRMC Atlantic SurgiCenter, according to a news release.

The new location will consolidate the NHRMC’s Health & Diagnostic Services, which will relocate to the facility from its Porters Neck location at 8108 Market St., the news release said.

The project, which will include 10 treatment rooms and one critical care room, is expected to be complete in spring 2015.
