A Pittsburgh-based family dentistry practice is relocating its operation to Wilmington.
Larry Myles, co-owner of the new dentistry practice, said Monday that he and his wife, Stephanie, will soon take over 7,125 square feet of retail space in Unit 44 at the University Centre, located at 322 S. College Road.
“We’re anxious about coming to Wilmington,” Myles said. “We hope to open sometime early next year, around January or February.”
Nicholas Silivanch, vice president of retail leasing and acquisitions with Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners and principal broker with Team Silivanch; along with Garry Silivanch, vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners and principal broker of Team Silivanch, represented the landlord during the long-term transaction for an undisclosed amount.
Phil Kraus, a broker with Wilmington-based Harley & Associates Commercial Real Estate Inc., represented the tenant.
Officials closed on the lease agreement last week.
Myles, who formerly served as a hospital administrator in the Pittsburgh area and has two adult children and five grandchildren in Wilmington, said his wife, who has 20 years of experience in dentistry, will serve as the lead dentist of the new office. He said the foot traffic, access to the University of North Carolina Wilmington and WAVE Transit stops made relocating to the large-scale power center attractive.
“We felt that it would be a good location,” Myles said.
While the new practice has not settled on an official name, Myles said it will offer a variety of services, from teeth cleaning to dental crowns.
