Neonatalogist To Head March Of Dimes Event

The Southeastern Division of March of Dimes has announced that Dr. Sheri Carroll will serve as the 2013 Wilmington Signature Chefs Auction Chair. Carroll is a neonatologist for Coastal Carolina Neonatology PLLC.

A Wilmington native, Carroll received her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y. She also completed a neonatal perinatal fellowship at UNC before returning to Wilmington in 2006 as a neonatologist at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal Medicine.

The 2013 Wilmington Signature Chefs Auction, held Dec. 5, will feature the culinary talents of several prominent local chefs and restaurants, according to the announcement.

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. This mission is carried out through programs of research, community services, education and advocacy.
