The Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter has hired Sarah Blake as a physician assistant.
“As a physician assistant Blake, of Wilmington, will work closely with physicians to help manage the plan of care for adult and geriatric palliative care patients with life-limiting conditions,” a news release stated.
She previously worked for Cape Fear Cancer Specialists for three years as well as Wilmington Surgical Associates and Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Conn.
Blake earned a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science from High Point University and master’s of science degree in physician assistant studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She received her certificate of surgical residency from Norwalk Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine.
Blake has certifications and privileges granted from NCCPA, ACLS/BLS, Candela Gentle YAG Laser and New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the N.C. Academy of Physician Assistants, Coastal Cape Fear Regional Chapter of NCAPA where she serves as its vice president and the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology.
