By Ken Little, posted Sep 2, 2012

H. Alexander “Sandy” Easley III recently joined University Physicians, a service of South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC).

Easley joins University Physicians’ urogynecology division.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and UNC School of Medicine, Easley completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Duke University Medical Center.

“SEAHEC is excited to have Dr. Easley overseeing the Division of Urogynecology. With his more than 25 years of experience, he will offer compassionate, comprehensive and individualized care in gynecologic medicine,” Mark Darrow, SEAHEC president and CEO, said in a news release.

With Easley’s addition to the urogynecology division, University Physicians will continue to treat patients with complex gynecologic conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, abnormal bleeding, fecal incontinence and menopause, Darrow said.
In addition to seeing patients at University Physicians, Easley is also part of the teaching faculty with the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Residency Program.

Easley is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He serves on the board of directors of MAG Mutual Insurance Co. in Atlanta and  on its claims, underwriting, audit, finance and executive committees.
