New Hanover Regional Medical Center Trauma Center (NHRMC) and Southeastern Regional Advisory Committee (SERAC) recently recognized several individuals and one hospital for their dedication and expertise in the fields of trauma and disaster management.
The Mike Law Award of Distinction was given to Matt Stevens and Wendy Gieschen of NHRMC’s Emergency Medical Services.
Heather Stout, manager of pediatrics and pediatric ICU at NHRMC’s Betty H. Cameron Women’s & Children’s Hospital, was given the Tina Hewett Award of Excellence.
Master Chief Mark Starnes, emergency manager for the Naval Hospital Camp Lejune, was awarded the R. Alan Pate Award for Disaster Preparedness.
The Southeastern Regional Advisory Committee Trauma Service Award was presented to Brunswick Novant Medical Center.
