A New Hanover Regional Medical Center urgent care facility recently opened in Wallace.
The facility is located at 112-G Medical Village Drive in Wallace. Its hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
NHRMC Urgent Care-Wallace treats a range of illnesses and injuries, from flu and minor back pain to migraines, allergies and flesh wounds.
“New Hanover Regional Medical Care-Wallace providers are highly trained medical professionals who offer convenient care for a variety of medical conditions and emergencies, from the simple to the complex,” NHRMC spokeswoman Erin Balzotti said.
NHRMC-Urgent Care offers school, sports and camp physicals and has on-site X-ray services. The facility also serves a number of local employers for occupational medicine needs, including drug screenings, employment physicals and flu shots.
“We are pleased to expand our urgent care services to the Wallace community. These services, added to the quality care already provided by New Hanover Regional Medical Center and our affiliated physicians will give people another location closer to home for their urgent care needs,” Jack Barto, NHRMC president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.
NHRMC Urgent Care is affiliated with the NHRMC Physician Group and New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Another NHRMC Urgent Care facility is on Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington, and the NHRMC Physician Group provides care at both the Pender Primary Care facilities in Rocky Point and Burgaw.
