2021 City And Town Elections Roundup

By Staff Reports, posted Oct 29, 2021
Election Day for New Hanover County municipalities, including the city of Wilmington, the town of Carolina Beach, the town of Kure Beach and the town of Wrightsville Beach, is Tuesday, November 2.

North Carolina has three voting options for residents including absentee-by-mail voting, which should be completed and returned prior to the absentee ballot deadline on Tuesday at 5 p.m. if returned by hand to Board of Elections office, or Nov. 5 if returned by mail with a postmark dated on or before Nov. 2.

One-stop absentee voting, also known as early voting, started Oct. 14 and ends Saturday. It allows people to cast their in-person ballot at a one-stop site.

The third option is traditional in-person voting on Election Day, which is the last day to cast a ballot at a local polling place.
