What made the company decide to make its goods locally?
“Marpac was founded in 1962 by Jim Buckwalter … Wilmington was perfectly situated between his relatives located in Florida and those in the Northeast.”
What’s planned next?
“Marpac’s strategic growth plans are based on our company becoming a Sleep Tools brand … Historically that meant only selling ‘sound’ products, but in just the past year we’ve … expanded into ‘touch’ – we purchased bed-in-box innovator Yogabed late last year. In early October we’ll begin selling our first ‘scent’ product, called the Purest.
