GE Hitachi recently hired nuclear industry veteran Steve Hamilton as its new global quality leader. With more than 29 years experience in the nuclear industry, including 12 years at Progress Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Station, Hamilton also was president of PN Services, which specializes in chemical cleaning and decontamination of nuclear reactors. He is a UNCW alumnus and completed graduate work in nuclear physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University.
Wilmington Health recently announced that Matthew Dzurik, of the group’s Podiatry Department was named an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
New Hanover Regional Medical Center recently announced the addition of oncologist Dr. Andrew Schreiber. Schreiber is currently seeing patients at the Zimmer Caner Center. He is board certified in both hematology, the treatment of malignant and benign disorders of the blood, and oncology, the treatment of cancer.
MetLife of the Carolinas recently announced that Mark Lemmon joined the firm as a Financial Services Representative. Lemmon is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
