BIZTALK: In Downtown Wilmington, Small Business Owners Face Challenges

By Cece Nunn, posted Jul 29, 2020
Small business owners continue to face challenges as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Three small business owners with establishments in downtown Wilmington discussed the issue Wednesday during BizTalk. They were Jenna McKnight, owner of boutique Aqua Fedora; Andrew Bopes, who opened Mon Âme Chocolate & Wine Bar in 2017; and Miriam Oehrlein, owner of New Elements Gallery.

The owners talked about what they've done to adapt to the ever-changing situation, including reaching their customers online. They also discussed how an initiative that has led to more outdoor diining has impacted them and how their revenue has been affected by COVID-19's economic side effects.
