Ray Baca, owner of The Loft on Front event space, recently expanded by opening another venue location called Belle Vue Wilmington.
The 2,000-square-foot space is located at 20 Princess St. and overlooks parts of downtown Wilmington and the Cape Fear River.
After searching for a while, Baca decided to sign a four-year lease for the new space after much success from his other downtown location, The Loft on Front, at 27 N. Front St.
“I own The Loft on Front, and we have been very busy. This town was in the need for a smaller venue so people could host more intimate events,” Baca said. “I hated turning people down when The Loft was booked, so now we have two great options for events.”
Belle Vue Wilmington is going to be a “step up” for Baca, he said. The venue will provide the essential amenities for hosting an event, such as chairs, tables, linen, glassware, plates and silverware.
The quaint space can host up to 49 people for smaller events such as baby showers, bridal showers, luncheons or holiday parties. With such a demand in Wilmington for wedding venues, the place was created mainly to be a high-end bridal salon for brides to get ready for their weddings.
