By Staff Reports, posted Jan 15, 2013

First Bank hired Pamela Jones of Wilmington as the company’s senior vice president and director of residential mortgage lending.

Jones has more than 25 years of mortgage lending experience. Her experience includes managing mortgage departments for several financial institutions and working as owner and president of her own mortgage company.

“The bank’s goal is to expand its mortgage business under Pamm’s leadership through its 98 branch offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, as well as networking with realtors and builders within the bank’s geographic footprint,” First Bank executive vice president and chief retail banking officer Dorson White said in a statement.

A long time resident of Wilmington, Jones graduated from New Hanover High School and from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and sociology.
