Mutual Of Omaha Relocating Local Offices

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Oct 2, 2012

Mutual of Omaha is relocating its offices to the North State Bank Building at the corner of Eastwood and Military Cutoff roads.

Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial officials made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

Vin Wells and Brian Eckel, both partners of Cape Fear Commercial, worked with the landlord and Mutual of Omaha to build out a customized office space for the national life insurance firm on the second floor of the building.

Upon completion, Mutual will occupy half of the second floor of the building, leaving approximately 5,411 square feet of shell space on the second floor and 9,288 square feet on the third floor available for lease, according to a news release.

Cape Fear Commercial was hired in May to lease the second and third floors of the building after Durham-based Quintiles vacated 18,653 square feet of office space on two floors of the 29,709-square-foot North State Bank Building.
