Andrew Consulting Engineers hired David Turner, Robert Williams and Jesse Bishop “to meet the growing demands of existing and new projects,” a news release stated.

Turner (shown left) joined the company earlier this year as project engineer. His duties include the analysis and design of low- to mid-rise buildings, marine construction and evaluation of existing buildings and marine structures, the release stated. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a degree in civil engineering and Colorado State University with a master’s degree in structural engineering.

Williams rejoined the firm as drafting technician. Prior to rejoining the firm, Williams worked at Elementis Chromium, also as a drafting technician. Williams graduated from Cape Fear Community College in 2003 with a certificate in architectural drafting.

Bishop joined as a drafting technician intern. He works part-time while pursuing an associate’s degree in architectural technology from CFCC. The New Bern native works in AutoCAD and Revit to draft working drawings and assists the firm’s engineers, the release stated.

“We’re proud to welcome David, Robert and Jesse to the team and the skills and experience they bring have already had a very positive impact on the firm,” Neal Andrew, president of Andrew Consulting Engineers, said in the release. “We’ve grown by 25% over the past six months, from a staff 12 to 15, and that growth has come quickly on the heels of winning several new contracts. We’ve been very busy with a number of local and regional projects, including the new cofferdam at the Battleship North Carolina, a dredging project at Hammond Beach State Park, the new Shipyard Fire Station and a two-year contract with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.”

In addition to these changes, Andrew Consulting Engineers promoted Everett Pannkuk from senior structural engineer to principal within the firm. As a member of the company’s management team since 2011, Pannkuk has worked on major projects such as General Electric Uranium Enrichment lab, Wilmington Water Street Streetscaping and the Wilmington Riverfront Assessment.

Pannkuk graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a degree in civil engineering and a concentration in structures. He also obtained his master's degree from University of Missouri at Rolla in engineering management. Pannkuk earned his professional engineers license in 2002.
