Life Care Services, an operator of senior living communities and manager of Plantation Village in Porters Neck, has ranked Highest in Customer Satisfaction in a J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Senior Living Study for the second year in a row.

The award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Independent Living Senior Living Communities encompasses six individual resident-experience factors, according to a news release.

Life Care Services "scored 855 on a 1,000-point scale, a full 77 index points above the second-highest performing independent senior living organization," officials said in the release.

Life Care Services won the overall category, and also ranked highest within each of the six factors: resident activities; community staff; price paid for services received; resident apartment/living unit; community building and grounds; and dining, stated the release.

"We are deeply grateful to know that our hard work is valued,” said Zane Bennett, executive director of Plantation Village, in the release. “And we at Plantation Village want to assure residents, family, friends and staff that we will continue to improve, evolve and innovate to provide the newest offerings to meet the needs of current and future residents.”

Plantation Village was created in 1988 and is managed by Life Care Services, which provides operations, marketing and sales management for nonprofit and for-profit Life Plan Communities. Life Care Services serves nearly 40,000 seniors across the country.
