IronGate Partners has announced that Alex McDonald is now a Certified Financial Planner, according to a news release.

McDonald has "achieved the highest standard in financial planning by passing the CFP exam," officials said in the release.

He has served IronGate as director of financial planning for nearly four years.

"Alex has provided exemplary financial guidance, and has grown to become an invaluable asset to our firm and our clients," officials said in the release.

McDonald previously worked with OmniStar Financial and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

He graduated cum laude from N.C. State University.
