The Cameron Art Museum has added three new board members and announced new officers for 2021.

Charles Boney, Lindsay Gregg and Acquenetta Wheeler are new to the Cameron Art Museum board, according to a news release.

Officials also announced the board's new officers for the year: Elizabeth Wells (chair), Gregory Miller (vice chair), Charlotte Cohen (treasurer), Lisa Pons Lloyd (secretary), William "Bill" Malloy (past vice chair) and John Messick (member at-large).

“The Board of Trustees at Cameron Art Museum is made up of a team of dedicated advocates for the museum’s work that believes in the power of the arts,” said Anne Brennan, executive director of Cameron Art Museum, in the release. “We are pleased to announce our new board members, as well as our new officers, and we are excited about the contributions they will bring to our community.”

Boney is principal and chief relationships officer of LS3P Associates Ltd. He started working for the architectural firm in 1978.

He previously served as principal architect for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ Governors’ Village, and was a principal architect for Union County Schools’ Weddington High School, stated the release. His work encompasses numerous comprehensive renovation projects, including three schools, and renovations to Thalian Hall, a historic theater in Wilmington.

Gregg is the owner and principal designer of LSG Interiors based in Wilmington. She spent the first nine years of her career working in set decorating and art departments in the film industry.

Wheeler is a regional medical director for Optum. She has also served as a regional medical director for United Healthcare of the Carolinas; chief medical officer in Maryland; and has worked as a primary care physician with a specific interest in children with disabilities.
