McKim & Creed has announced that Tim Cawood has been promoted to president of geomatics, according to a news release.

The new role comes with a restructure of the company’s leadership team announced by the firm’s CEO John Lucey Jr. In his new role, Cawood will oversee geomatics services companywide.

Prior to the role, he served the firm as a senior vice president.

“This promotion supports our continued growth as well as recognizes the tremendous contributions that Tim has made to the firm. He has been with McKim & Creed for over 30 years, progressing from an entry-level position and has been a great example of our core values of respect for people, client satisfaction, continuous improvement, ownership and safety,” said Lucey in the release.

Cawood began his career at McKim & Creed in 1985, when he joined the firm’s Wilmington office as a survey crew member, stated the release.

Cawood is a graduate of Cape Fear Community College with a degree in marine technology.
