Natalie English Elected Board Member Of Chamber Executives Association

Natalie English, president and CEO of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, according to a news release.

Board members of the Alexandria, Virginia-based association represent more than 50 organizations, stated the release.

“We are pleased to welcome Natalie to the ACCE Board of Directors,” said Sheree Anne Kelly, president and CEO of ACCE, said in the release. “She joins the organization’s volunteer leadership at an exciting time as we implement our new strategic plan that’s crafted to support and elevate the exceptional community advancement efforts of chambers of commerce."

"Natalie’s expertise complements our board of directors’ skills, and we’re confident she will provide valuable perspective and insight as we continue to strengthen the organizations that are creating change across the globe," she said.

English, a certified chamber executive, as served for more than 20 years in a chamber leadership role, stated the release.  She was formerly the public policy chief for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

She was named a 2008 Women in Business Achievement Award Winner by the Charlotte Business Journal, and in 2009 and 2013, the Mecklenburg Times named English one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte.
