NHRMC Physician Group-Cape Fear Cancer Specialists has welcomed Gwendoline Fonebi to the practice.

Fonebi, a board-certified physician in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, is a medical oncologist, according to a news release.

Fonebi was most recently an attending physician in hematology/oncology at CAMC Cancer Center in Charleston, West Virginia, officials said.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Yaoundé I, in Cameroon. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Southern Illinois University and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Boston University School of Medicine, stated the release.
