WHQR Public Radio Announces New Board Members

Three new members have been elected to the board of directors for Friends of Public Radio Inc., according to a news release.

The new members were elected during WHQR’s annual meeting in late June. The new members are Christopher Fikry, executive vice president of Pharmaceutical Product Development Laboratories; Nicolas Montoya, general manager of the Blockade Runner Beach Resort and Kristine Moore, a retired oil and gas industry executive.

They join current board members Hannah Dela Cruz Abrams, Jeff Barnes chair), Kathleen Berkeley (vice chair), Wiley Cash, Brenda Esch, Stephen Fortlouis (treasurer), Doc Jarden, Jon McLamb, Geneva Reid, Fran Scarlett, JC Smith, Robert Waxman (secretary) and Rob Zapple.

MK Cope and Jeff Smith (ex officio) are retiring from the board, officials said.
