Debbie Wood has taken the oath of office as a member of the Dosher Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, according to a news release.

Wood, who was elected by Smithville Township voters in November, fills the unexpired two years of the term of Southport Police Chief Gary Smith, who resigned in August.

Also taking the oath of office as trustees were Karen Taylor and Terry Pieper, who ran unopposed. They were elected to full, six-year terms, officials said.
