Bill Anlyan, Ashley Doyle and Meredith Koenig have teamed up to operate as Lumina Wealth Management, officials said in a release.

Anlyan’s long-term knowledge and experience are "one of the cornerstones of Lumina Wealth Management’s ability to provide insights into complex wealth issues," according to the company's website.

Prior to founding Lumina Wealth Management, Anlyan was a leader in higher education and arts administration. He worked as assistant director for the Duke University Comprehensive Cancer Center, deputy director at the N.C. Museum of Art and vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Anlyan, managing member of the firm, completed his undergraduate degree at Guilford College in Greensboro and earned his law degree from the Duke University School of Law.

Doyle (right) has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is a certified financial planner professional.

Doyle is a founding member of Coastal Carolina Colleagues, a nonprofit organization helping couples minimize the emotional and financial devastation accompanying traditional divorce court processes. She graduated from Greensboro College with a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics.

Koenig, a financial adviser, previously worked as a client service associate at Smith Barney, New York and as an account administrator for Wachovia Securities, New York. She graduated from UNCW with a bachelor's degree in business and a concentration in finance.

The company also introduced Luke Burton, client service associate, as the newest member of its team, according to company officials.

Burton graduated from Davidson College and before joining the firm held the role as an assistant to the CEO of a capital management firm in Georgia. He will utilize his previous experience to provide operations support, officials said.

The firm also partnered with Gina Sanchez of Chantico Global Inc. to serve Lumina Wealth Management as an independent investment consultant.

Sanchez is an economist, former portfolio manager and regular contributor on CNBC, as well as a member of the Oxford Global Centre in London. She joins the firm's investment committee.

"We look forward to her unique perspective and her portfolio management experience," officials said.
