Carolina Arthritis is expanding its medical team with the addition of Daniel DeLo.

DeLo joins Carolina Arthritis as a board-certified rheumatologist after completing a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and roughly eight years of rheumatology work at UPMC, according to a press release.

Raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, DeLo received his undergraduate and medical degrees from West Virginia University.

He treats a wide variety of rheumatology issues but has a special interest in autoimmune diseases such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, connective tissue diseases (such as lupus), vasculitis and various other inflammatory conditions.

DeLo and his family were drawn to the Wilmington area and relocated here in 2017. He said he is excited for the opportunity to join Carolina Arthritis’s physician-led practice.

“I practice by listening to my patient’s problems,” DeLo said. “Making a proper diagnosis and creating a sensible treatment plan is a No. 1 priority.”
