Two Disaster One employees have attained the Restoration Industry Association’s Certified Restorer certification.

Steve Brown, vice president of restoration, and Mark Klamerus, Wilmington/Myrtle Beach branch manager, received their Certified Restorer certifications during the 2017 International Restoration Convention held earlier this month in Palm Springs, California, according to a news release.

Brown and Klamerus were required to complete a four-step process to receive the certification, which included training courses in multiple disciplines such as fire, smoke and water damage restoration and structural restoration, the release stated.

After completing the prep course and exam, they were required to present a certified restorer formal report.

Only 655 people have completed the process, the release stated, and Brown and Klamerus are the second and third Disaster One employees to attain this certification.
