Israel Morelos recently joined the Vertex Railcar Corp. team as its new director of quality assurance.
 
Morelos focuses his efforts at Vertex “on reaching targets, cost optimization, continuous improvement, and the overall success of VRC [Vertex Railcar Corp.],” officials for the railcar manufacturer said in a news release.

Morelos has more than 18 years of quality assurance and project management experience and has an international manufacturing background that includes work in both the railcar and oil industries, the release stated.
 
Vertex is one of the first new railcar manufacturers to enter the market in over 80 years and has a 500,000 square-foot manufacturing facility located in Wilmington.
