CEMS Hires Steve Thomas As Principal Civil Engineer

CEMS Engineering | Architecture recently hired Steve Thomas as the firm’s principal civil engineer.
 
Thomas has over 19 years of experience in the industry and has worked on a variety of projects including storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water, roadways and erosion control design, according to a news release. He is experienced in both business development and project management, the release stated.
 
He holds a civil engineering degree from N.C. State University and is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. He is the Carolinas regional vice president for the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and a board member for the SAME Cape Fear Post.
 
Thomas recently served as board member for both the NC Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), for which he chaired the Cape Fear Branch for two years, and for the nonprofit WARM.
