WDI Board Announces New Leadership, Membership

Wilmington Downtown Inc. (WDI) recently elected new officers and members to its board of directors, the organization announced in a news release.

WDI is governed by a volunteer, 36-member board of directors that represents downtown Wilmington business owners, property owners, community leaders and other constituents. 

The new board chairman is Colin Tarrant. Tarrant has served on the board since 2012, the release stated. Other officers are Rob Wagner, treasurer, and Hank Estep, secretary. Robert Rosenberg is the immediate past chairman.

Committee chairs are Tanner Clayton, Live Committee; Alan Murphy, Shop Committee; Andrew Gray, Play Committee; Tom Davis, Work Committee; and Steve Whitney, Dream Committee.

Wilmington mayor pro-tem Margaret Haynes and New Hanover County commissioner Rob Zapple continue to represent the local governments on the executive committee the release stated. 

In addition to new officers, WDI elected seven new board members: Dane Scalise, attorney; Jason Arnold, general manager of the Wilmington Hammerheads; Gabriel Rich, dentist at Riverside Dental Arts; Eric Laut, owner of Hell’s Kitchen; Sylvia Kochler, representative of Residents of Old Wilmington; Lee Knight, director of planned giving at UNCW; and Randy Reeves, with Harold Wells Insurance.
