WCFHBA inducts two, presents award
The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association named its 2015 Hall of Fame inductees last month, according to a news release.

Hiram Williams and John Elmore II were those named.

Williams has worked in the homebuilding and real estate industries for 35 years and is the owner of Action Construction Co. He was a board member for the association for many years, serving as the president of the association in 2002.

Elmore has been a real estate developer since 1982. He was instrumental in developing Shell Island and Porters Neck Plantation, among other developments, a release stated.

Last month, WCFHBA also named the winner of the 2015 Cathy Clark Spirit Award.

Tara Stewart of Alpha Mortgage was named recipient of the award, which was established in 1996 in memory of Cathy Clark of Clark-Teachey Realtors, according to a release.

Compass Pointe is 'happiest'
Also announced last month, Compass Pointe — a gated community in Brunswick County — was named “Happiest Community of 2015” in the Bliss Awards by Real Estate Scorecard, according a news release.

Real Estate Scorecard is an industry leader of online real estate reviews, providing "in-depth information about the most popular master planned communities," according to the release. It conducts research to provide insight into the overall happiness of popular neighborhoods. Each year, Real Estate Scorecard honors communities with a Bliss Award.
